The impact of Digital Photography on Wedding Photography
Okay, I admit it. We're new enough to Wedding Photography (Wedding Photography Birmingham) to have only really used digital. Good digital right back to the Canon 1D by the way but......nevertheless digital. What does that mean to 'todays bride'?
Well more than you might think.

Firstly it reduces the changes of complete wipeouts. Yes I know that good film photographers carried multiple films and were adept at making sure that film didn't go astray but.....the chances were higher. Plain and simple. Nowadays of course flash cards can corrupt but it's not so nearly likely. So number one - more digital less worry.

What else?

Okay the obvious one. (And don't underestimate it). The ability to simply take photos with a reckless abandon. Let's give you a for example, one of my 16GB cards gives me (even on 5D Mk2 Canon) almost 400 shots. When it comes to catching a moment, a look, a tear, a laugh or any other really important element of any wedding having three 16GB cards in your bag means that you can shoot now and think later. Can you imagine having enough film to cover 1200? Well you'd need a wheelbarrow. Classical Wedding Photography

What else?

Another critical one. The ability to manipulate images on a computer. Apply filters, make black and white, remove an errant piece of rubbish floating in the background - whatever. Being able to tinker with the images is yet another safety net for your wedding. Stain on the dress? Doesn't matter well zap it! Zit on the day - doesn't matter we'll get rid of it.
